Returning Women Students Program
Portland State has a high population of students returning after a break in their formal education, who share similar concerns. Our mission is to help students make their return to school a positive and rewarding experience. We provide women an opportunity to relate, communicate, and connect to one another. The Returning Women Student's Program offers services designed to support and inform women, as well as providing one on one advocacy and support and hosting social events.
Program Goals:
- To enhance the college experience of the returning woman student
- To provide resource referrals on campus and citywide
- To provide fellowship and peer support by bringing together women students of similar situations
- To provide cultural competence and understanding campus wide to women of all races, culture, sexuality, and religion
- To foster an environment of understanding and problem solving in regards to college success
