WRC Internship Program - Application Deadline Extended!

Here at the Women's Resource Center, we seek to empower women and to encourage their active and equal participation in all levels of the university community and the larger society. We encourage the participation of ALL people in the community as we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for self-identified women. The WRC hosts and co-sponsors a number of events throughout the year, brings speakers and performers to campus, sponsors discussion groups, and promotes awareness campaigns related to a variety of women's issues. Our space includes a lounge, library, and conference area, and we are the home of three large programs: the Returning Women’s Program, the Interpersonal Violence Program, and the Volunteer Program.

If selected you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Serve the women of PSU and empower yourself
  • Develop yourself as a student leader on campus
  • Learn more about feminist organizing and activism
  • Become involved with the WRC community
  • Develop professional skills
  • Enrich your resume
  • Set personal leadership learning goals and receive mentoring towards the attainment of those goal through service to the Women’s Resource Center
  • Stay informed about events and opportunities to become more involved
  • Practice leadership skills in a variety of ways, including training and working with quarterly WRC volunteers
  • Receive academic credit for your work, and apply hours toward practicum requirements with department approval. This course is approved to fulfill elective requirements for the Civic Leadership Minor in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government, College of Urban and Public Affairs 

This is a volunteer position. Students of all genders are welcome to apply.

Commitment: 5-8 hours per week for the entire academic year.
